Description
Indicates/sets the PROFINET device name. The device name is stored remanently. Example: --> PNSTNAME abb-inverter - Can be changed by the user via DriveTerminal: SAVE & COLDSTART required. - The device name is valid after the amplifier has been cold started. PROFINET Naming conventions: To communicate with PROFINET devices, they have to be assigned a name. This name is the device name within the hardware configuration. This name has to correspond to the PROFINET naming conventions. The software checks whether the naming conventions are adhered to and it signals it as necessary. The following restrictions apply: - Restriction to 127 characters in total (characters "a" to "z", digits "0" to "9", hyphen or full stop) - A part of a name within the device name, i.e. a string between two points, must be max. 63 characters long. - No special characters such as Umlaut, brackets, underscore, slash, blank etc. The hyphen is the only permitted special character. - The device name must not include upper case characters. - The device name must not start with the characters "-" or ".", and it must not end with these characters. - The device name must not start with digits. - The device name must not have the form n.n.n.n ( n = 0…999 ). - The device name must not start with the string "port-xyz-" ( x,y,z = 0…9 ). - Device names are assigned to the PROFINET IO devices during commissioning. |
